During the fight over Bill C-12, Canada’s Net Zero Accountability legislation, Laurel Collins proved herself as a climate champion. She listened to demands from the climate movement, including barring fossil fuel executives from the net-zero advisory body and adding a near-term climate target, and successfully fought for them at the Environment Committee. She has given impassioned speeches on the floor of the House during climate debates and will continue to champion the kind of climate action we need if she’s re-elected.
We have endorsed Laurel Collins as a Defending Champion. Defending Champions are incumbent candidates who, over the course of the last parliamentary session, did the most to champion the kind of climate action we need to see.
We need all hands on deck to ensure Laurel Collins is elected for another term in office. Sign up to join the climate voters alliance to support Laurel Collin in Victoria.
