A tight NDP-Conservative riding, former Kootenay—Columbia MP Wayne Stetski has a chance to unseat Conservative Rob Morrison. This summer, wildfires raged across and nearby the riding, with smokey skies a constant. While Morrison has agreed that “climate change is real,” he’s done nothing to deliver climate action for his constituents. As the former NDP Critic for National Parks and with a 35 year career in conservation, Stetski, in comparison, has pledged to make it a top priority.
